Make A Difference

How You Can Help

To Donate

Through the support of our donors and volunteers, we are able to offer our women’s and children’s programming.  However, in order to continue with these programs we rely on your donations. Your financial contributions allow us to continue offering our programming, and our ability to provide transportation, court support, counselling, and child empowerment support.

Gifts in kind

Household Items

Often times, women and their children have few items, if any.  We accept items that are ‘gently used’, items that you yourself would continue using/wearing, and due to health and safety regulations, toiletries and food items must be new and unopened.  For any inquiries and/or to donate items, please contact 519-421-0383 ext. 222

We are also always in need of the following items:

  • Non-perishable food
  • Clothing
  • Bedding
  • Small kitchen appliances, such as kettles, toasters, toaster ovens, can openers
  • Dishes
  • Baking items
  • Pots and pans
  • Dinner plates, bowls, drinking glasses, mugs
  • Cutlery
  • Clocks
  • Cleaning supplies

Fundraise For Us

Fundraising is an exciting way to use your skills, talents and expertise, while raising money to support women and children in our community, who are experiencing violence. Whether on your own or with a group of friends, hosting a fundraising event for Ingamo Homes is a great way to help women and children in our community. From a birthday fundraiser to a workplace dinner, there are lots of ways to fundraise. We provide you with any support you need, including a dedicated fundraising contact and resources including donation forms, our logo, and a script to read at your fundraising event.

Third Party Fundraisers

What is a third-party fundraiser and why should I host one?

A third-party fundraising event is when a business, organization, community group, school or individual hosts an event or program to benefit Ingamo Homes. It is planned and executed independently of Ingamo Homes. Ingamo Homes is funded partly by local donations. In order to help women and children, we need your help. It is as simple as that.

I want to organize a fundraiser for Ingamo Homes but I’m not sure what to do.

Listed below are some ideas that you can help raise funds and awareness for Ingamo Homes. This list is by no means exhaustive. Let your creativity guide you!

  • Collect Donations: Set out collection canisters next to cash registers to encourage your customers to help you support Women’s Crisis Services.
  • Create your own online fundraising page (can you link to Canada Helps)
  • Host a Benefit Concert
  • Host a bake sale
  • Host a car wash
  • Donate a percentage of your business profits
  • Designate Ingamo Homes as the beneficiary for your event: If your business or organization hosts an annual event that generates funds, consider donating a portion of the proceeds to Ingamo Homes.
